when you close the collapse button and select and remove ,only the first line (header of the tag)
is removed and the rest of text is just hidden when you close and reopen the document you find this text is not removed

Can reproduce in Notepad++ 7.6.2, see capture

Also, notice how the line numbers are wrong when you delete the "block"

So what happens in the above screencast seems quite logical. The user is selecting part of line 3 and deleting it. Now if they would have selected the entire line 3 (by including the line-ending in the selection) and then deleted, they would have found that the entire folded block is removed.

However, the way the "folding" is left after a delete of a partial line 3 IS a problem. :)
