First of all, I want to say thank you to all you guys, for doing such excellent work of developing high quality fonts with larger Unicode coverage....!!

Noto fonts are helping us to revive rare and less explored scripts and their characteristics by giving them a digital identity. One such script is Modi. We have Noto Sans Modi for it, which is very fine, but has a 'sans approach'.

But, traditionally, Modi is written with a serif approach. It is written using 'Boru', giving it a varying width outline style. Therefore, it will be appropriate to implement it in Noto fonts.

Thanking you...
Abhishek

How about developing separate CJK for Modi (serif) Script? While current Modi font (Sans) will be used as Devnagri in official documents..?

I can provide photographic resources which would be helpful to form traditional Modi outlines.

Try to write it down on paper with proper typographic method using Boru. I think we can make our font like CJK. Also post it here for their reference.
