OK, first of all i saw the Entries #590 and #97, which are dealing with the same "issue".

So i got a new third party remote for my Nvidia Shield and it has some additional buttons (not hard compared to the original remote).
I now got the buttons for 0-9 which already have a function (scip to the corresponding % in the video). I found out that Nove Player uses some of it's "MPlayer" shortcut roots. But only a handfull. For example cycling through the available audio tracks with "#" or through the available subtitles with "j".
But it looks like there are many more interessting shortcuts avaialbe: http://www.keyxl.com/aaa2fa5/302/MPlayer-keyboard-shortcuts.htm
I would love to use the "+" and "-" options to adjust the audio track without entering the menu etc.
Of course a direct option in the UI like the suggestion in #590 would be awsome but i would be totaly fine with some kind of config file that can be edited by hand.

As a workaround for now (for people that may be searching for a solution) i've installed the open source "Key Mapper" and changed the function from 1 to j and 2 to x and 3 to z and so on which works fine but is a bit needs an additional tool and i'm changing the function of the remote buttons for the whole system. I would rather tell Nova Player that the shortcut for j should now be 1 etc.

I guess my point is clear and i think this would be a nice addition for people using remotes with extra buttons. And i think a config file solution would also be relatively easy implemented.

Thanks for the hard work on this great app :)
