Summary

Currently automation tokens does not support creating new dist-tags, and as such are limited to publishing to existing tags.

Intended Outcome

  • An Automation Token can be used to create a new dist-tag

Questions

Should an automation token be able to delete a dist-tag?

Update April 2nd 2021:

This work item did not get prioritized in Q1. We are following up with the engineering team to figure out when we can get this out.

A fix for this has been implemented and deployed to production 🎉
