I would like to see the End-Use Subcategory field added to the HeatPump objects. This would include HeatPump:PlantLoop:EIR:Cooling, HeatPump:PlantLoop:EIR:Heating, HeatPump:WaterToWater:EquationFit:Cooling, HeatPump:WaterToWater:EquationFit:Heating, HeatPump:WaterToWater:ParameterEstimation:Cooling and HeatPump:WaterToWater:ParameterEstimation:Heating. This would be similar to what currently exists on the Chiller:Electric:EIR object.
The purpose of this would be to allow for better reporting and tracking of the energy used by objects during a simulation. I have also found this field useful for doing PCI calculations and labeling regulated vs unregulated loads.
This is my first OS request on Github so hopefully this is the right place to do it. If not, could you please point me to a better forum or location?
Thank you in advance for your consideration and for all the great work you all have done up this point.
