Message

This is an active release week, I have expanded my tests the 1.69 release to hopefully this is easy and quick to test.

Stages

  • Read the release notes and figure out if I need to do something.
  • Run ./update.sh old-tag new-tag like ./update.sh v1.52.1 v1.53.0 to diff a few select files and make relevant changes.
  • Read Immich Discord to get a feeling if there is any critical bugs (and maybe wait for a dot release).
  • Check for new releases of the Immich CLI.
  • Build and test it locally.
  • Write a news post in docs/docs/news/index.md
  • Push it to a branch in a PR, let CI run it's tests.
  • Merge the PR.
  • Wait for snapcraft build service to do it's thing and release a build to edge channel.
  • Promote it to the beta channel and test it.
  • Promote it to candidate and live with it my self for an appropriate amount of time.
  • Promote it to stable.
