Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

I'm always frustrated when we make any changes in the REST gateway and testcases don't cover OPTIONS requests and CORS policies.

Describe the solution you'd like

Add tests for OPTIONS requests.

Describe alternatives you've considered

Do not add mentioned test and risk continued suffering.

Additional context

We can't catch mistakes without these tests before deploying a release. We faced this issue in v0.7.0 and v0.8.0 for rest-gw.
