opnsense hangs on shutdown waiting for ntopng PID to stop #5127
Comments
please report the ntopng version used. Make sure you've installed an official package from https://packages.ntop.org/ |
I have the same issue. The problem appears to be that opnsense/freebsd shuts down redis before it shuts down ntopng. This causes ntopng to hang trying to reconnect to redis. It sounds like a dependency issue in the rc scripts for freebsd. |
apologize for the delay: Plugin Changelog1.2
ntop version info:
OPNsense 21.1.3_3-amd64 |
I think this issue should be resolved for opnsense via this commit (not in a released version yet). |
i can confirm, this does resolve the issue... thanks! |
I've noticed since 20.7.x that opnsense is having some troubles during reboot/shutdown with ntopng not getting stopped in a timely manner.. can take several minutes or longer. kill the service will immediately continue the shutdown.
