I've noticed since 20.7.x that opnsense is having some troubles during reboot/shutdown with ntopng not getting stopped in a timely manner.. can take several minutes or longer. kill the service will immediately continue the shutdown.

please report the ntopng version used. Make sure you've installed an official package from https://packages.ntop.org/

I have the same issue. The problem appears to be that opnsense/freebsd shuts down redis before it shuts down ntopng. This causes ntopng to hang trying to reconnect to redis. It sounds like a dependency issue in the rc scripts for freebsd.

I think this issue should be resolved for opnsense via this commit (not in a released version yet).
