This is a terribly old card I bought around 2007 or 2008 I think. It is not recognized by the 3DS but I was able to dump a .nds which had a CycloDS icon so it might be the ROM.
The site (www.cyclopsds.com) doesn't exist any more. (Contributor EDIT: But you can find it on wayback machine.) Same goes for any resellers of this device.
I found a forum which still has firmware for it at least: http://cyclods.wikidot.com/download:firmware
The firmware of the card was updated by placing the update.evo file on the sd of the card and booting into it.

I hope this can be used in any way. I have no other use for this flashcard any more other than helping friends get CFW even if they updated past 11.3. So if you need me to test stuff I'd be happy to help. Let me know if any info is missing.

Edit: found a writeup about it on GBATemp: https://gbatemp.net/threads/cyclods-evolution-review.53450/

Edit: latest firmware I found:
evo-firmware-2-3.zip

Edit: Found the NTR-Launcher and am now able to boot into the cycloDS menu and start nds files. https://github.com/ApacheThunder/NTR_Launcher
Should now be able to update the firmware with an update.evo on my 3ds.

I have one of these I don't need that I'd be happy to mail to a developer if that would help.

The cyclods team called their kernel firmware and their firmware bootstrap. So the linked firmware is not really a firmware but a kernel.
Regarding the cyclods ievolution:
it can be updated by plugging it into a PC USB adapter (I think plugging it into a DS works, too) while having a "BOOTUPDT.EVO" in the root of the microsd card.
Information regarding the update file for the ievo: https://gist.github.com/Normmatt/c706cbb888e830b2f54f5474004ca075
A code to read/write the flash and a patch for a ds emulator to run it: http://gbatemp.net/threads/can-someone-please-test-this.335054/

This might be true for the iEvolution but the original CycloDS never had a bootsrap release. The original only had "firmware". See the link below.

No idea if what you said is true for the original as well.

The CycloDS "firmware" is a kernel, too. It never had a bootstrap update because it's not DSi compatible. Maybe card CMDs for iEDGE work with the original evo but idk; probably not.

Hello, I found this space while looking for the CycloDS firmware for an old DS I have. The last post was 2 years ago it looks like but I'd like to affirm there are still a hand full of people out there that might still find this place useful, so thanks for that

I think that the chances of getting support for the original CycloDS are pretty much zero. It's likely that it doesn't have a rewriteable flash since that wasn't required back then.

based on the pictures provided, it would appear it does have flash memory. Two chips are flash memory in different forms, actually. would need a bit of playing with to see if it supported flashing it, though.

I'd be happy to take any carts anyone is offering and try to figure them out. Definitely need to have the unit on hand, and it almost certainly will not be functional once I'm done with it, but I'd be happy to take a look.

I've got one sitting in a DS that I'll surely never use, if you're in the US I'll ship it out cheap USPS like and we can cross our fingers.
