To make it short and clear - this app is a catastrophe.

Sometimes it does not warn, the background service has tons of problems and crashes (tested on 2 different mobiles), the UI has graphical glitches (when I am not wrong the glitches occur when the background service has problems / trying to update or register itself, I do not know, youre the dev).

In short - this app is dangerous, completely unsuitable as a warn app in dangerous situations. So much instabilities and problems that I not even know where to start.

In my opinion you have to put tons of efforts, ALL your efforts, in making it stable - and work at all.

Sorry to say it so harsh....but this should be a WARN app for dangerous situations. Its unusable in its current state.

By the way, new v0.5 beta has also crashed here minutes ago after I restarted my mobile. "Foss warn app closed". I am using up to date Lineage Os 18.1 on both mobiles.

I also took some screenshots from the UI glitches - but they are on my other mobile, possibly I attach them later - but I assume you have other problems that needs to be solved first (background service...).

We are always happy when people report problems. We do our best and a non-perfect app is better than no app. We are sorry that FOSS Warn is not working as expected for you. Please note that we are still in beta. But this kind of problem is new to us.

By the way, new v0.5 beta has also crashed here minutes ago after I restarted my mobile. "Foss warn app closed". I am using up to date Lineage Os 18.1 on both mobiles.

We need more information about the crashes. You are the first person to report this. Does it always crash after a restart? What devices are you using? If you are using LOS 18.1, then you are using Android 11, right? Do you have any Xposed modules or similar installed? Is battery optimisation disabled for FOSS Warn? Are you using version 0.5.0 of F-Droid? Have you tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling it? Are the problems still present then?

Sometimes it does not warn, the background service has tons of problems and crashes (tested on 2 different mobiles), the UI has graphical glitches (when I am not wrong the glitches occur when the background service has problems / trying to update or register itself, I do not know, youre the dev).

We also need more information for the glitches. The information that there are glitches is not really helpful. Screenshots would be a good option. And please open different topics for different issues. We asked our testers and could reproduce the glitches on a very old phone that is 10 years old. Do you use such a phone? And is FOSS Warn the only app causing problems?

The glitches appear on older devices with LOS and are not a problem with FOSS Warn itself, but a problem on Flutter's side.
Here is the issue: flutter/flutter#105093

The upstream problem seems to be solved with the current stable version of Flutter. We should check if this fixes the problem and then close this issue as well.
