Is it possible to have the option (something like cdot and/or alwaysCdot?) for \simplify to display a \cdot where there would be a \times?

That's something I would also very much like to have.

Thanks for this suggestion. I've added a display flag \timesDot which means that \cdot is always used to represent multiplication instead of \times.

I think it might be a good idea to have a question-level set of default display flags, so you don't have to type them out all the time. I'll make a new issue for that.

Sorry for asking, but how would I use such a display flag?
It's probably not just $\simplify[timesDot]{{a}x+{b}}$, or is it? (edit: yes, but no multiplication there)
I just realise it's probably $\timesDot \simplify{{a}x+{b}}$, right? (edit: nope)

Edit: $\simplify[timesDot]{{b} {a}^x}$ works ;) thx!
