Ponder: external links to known websites use a version of their favicon instead of the default external link asset #64

Currently the site distinguishes between external links and internal links by decorating the former with a vector asset. Is it useful to readers to have those external links decorated with something that more obviously communicates where it's going to take them? Is a trailing image even the right solution to this problem? How else might the information be conveyed?
