Mixed fraction support #942
Comments
We don't use mixed fractions in France. I would not show the three forms as that could too large with large results and too distracting. Instead, I would add a new setting to control how fractions are simplified (simple or mixed). |
That would work, |
We do use mixed fractions in the UK, however for the majority of mathematicians we prefer to work with improper fractions as they are easier to manipulate. We only tend to use mixed when we're tidying up our work. |
Since version 13 of Epsilon, in the Calculation app, when a fractional output result is selected, an ellipsis button appears and pressing OK or EXE shows additional results among which is the mixed fraction form of the fraction. |
Problem you'd like to fix

Describe the solution you'd like
Add a mixed fraction output when the resulting fraction is improper. Also add a mixed fraction icon/command in the toolbox. Ex:
Additional context
I don't know if mixed fractions are used outside of the US, but this might help if they aren't:
