Maintenance task description

flamegraph is extremely valuable for analysis of what consumes CPU cycles. This should be included in the Github workflows for regular monitoring, especially when packaging up a new release.

Scope of work

It should be sufficient to build the Dockerfile.dev docker image, install perf, and run flamegraph on specific tests. The difficulty might be that, although this works in distrobox opensuse, it may not work well in plain ol' docker. To be seen!

Priority

  • Low: Address within 1 month - minor patches/fixes, remove tech debt
