Pre-pitch Prototype Iteration 1
Improved player handling, game balance, and prisoner aesthetics.
Major changes:
-Added in player reversing.
-Made the player's ship move slower with mass changes. For now this is when they are laden.
-Replaced the prisoner cubes with the blockout prisoner meshes.
Pre-pitch Interim Release
Continued to improve the game's flow and gameplay elements whilst moving towards the industry pitch.
Primary changes:
-Added a hull-length trapdoor to the player's ship. It is now much more straightforward to deposit prisoners.
-Shifted the prison ship up to make it more obvious.
-More performance & bug fixes.
Post-first Round Feedback Build
Implemented changes to the game to improve overall polish and user approachability as per tutor feedback.
Primary changes:
-Physics refinements, prisoners now sit still.
-Camera tweaks, improved control.
-Visual indicators, it is now easier to work out who is who and where to go.
First Prototype Build
The basic prototype gameplay loop is complete.
Features:
-Smooth player ship controls.
-Camera aiming and cannon firing.
-Prison ship prisoner wave release.
-Prisoner catching & depositing.
-State system (roulette, standard, death, suicide).
