Tips and tricks section in documentation

We keep getting more and more nice little features like #240 as well as more rare case ones like #239 which should get some love in the documentation.

Its not obvious where best to add these, maybe some could go in a new tips and tricks section? While others are "appended" to the most relevant section. I'm a terrible doc writer and have a tendency to overwhelm the reader with too much at once so any input would be appreciated :)
