The logical def has asserted that septomaxilla bone is_a sense organ, with an annotation that this was inferred. Did this come in this way from AAO (not in recent merge but before that)? This seems odd to us- it can be part of a sensory system but itself doesn't have sensory function.
Its likely inferred this way somewhere a priori based on the sensory organ def:
organ
and (part_of some 'sensory system')
but I don't like this either :-). Should a sensory organ should be is_a organ AND has some sensory function? I don't think a biologist would expect to retrieve septomaxilla bone when querying on sensory organ.
Note, we are looking at some more refs for this on the text def and will get back to you if we require changes on that.
