Now that rc1 is out, could you relax the ocaml version constraint in ./opam (and maybe upload it to opam)? I've done this locally, built it, and it seems to work fine.

I updated the git version with a relaxed constraint. I am not sure when it will be ready for release...

Hi!
Any forecast on this? 4.05 has been already released.

+1. On a fresh laptop (macOS) I just installed OCaml and opam via homebrew, but am unable to install merlin through opam. (Note: I am a total beginner at OCaml and have no idea how to proceed..)

@pvaibhav cd merlin.git && opam pin add merlin . should work as a temporary workaround. You can later remove it with opam pin remove merlin.

I think on unices, the git version will work. Only on windows it is broken.

I will do a release tomorrow.
