summary
I was following the Get Up and Running With OCaml guide, and ran into issues once up to VSCode editor integration. It seems like the same issue that is documented in #858.

No opam switches or sandboxes are appearing (even though I definitely have an active opam switch). I'm also receiving toast errors around not being able to run ocamlc and ocamllsp since they are not installed in the current sandbox.

my environment

  • 2021 M1 MBP running OSX Ventura 13.0.1
  • opam 2.1.3
  • ocaml 4.14.0
  • ocamllsp 1.14.2

Let me know if there's anything else I can do to help debugging, or if you have any advice for workarounds.

Thank you so much for any potential help!
Jake

Hi Jake,

Could you show us your Output logs? See https://github.com/ocamllabs/vscode-ocaml-platform#problems-with-this-extension-or-opam-support-in-the-extension

Hey @ulugbekna,

Thank you for the reply. I was having multiple apps break after upgrading from Monterey to Ventura, so I ended up downgrading back to Monterey. That fixed this issue as well as made it so that I can no longer debug.

I'll close the issue 👍

For those who are still struggling to find a solution: I resolved this issue by granting Full Disk Access to vscode.
