Currently, that flag is set unconditionally if quill detects that it's the primary project. Can it... not?

If I want verbose makefiles, that's easy for me to specify.

Hey, thanks for feedback. Yes could remove setting the cmake verbose variable in the next version. I just found it easier for me to have verbose makefiles while developing
