As said on LP. Would be nice if we could package gmagick 2.0.1RC1 https://pecl.php.net/package/gmagick

For any help feel free to contact me.

Done. It needs a bit tuning to compile src:graphicsmagic on Ubuntu trusty, but generally it has been uploaded to ppa:ondrej/php and it compiles for vivid and higher and it will soon compile on Trusty.

Big THX :) Just tried to build to package for trusty with my pbuilder setup, but seems i need some php packaging tools not in trusty. Do you have a quick advice here?

Looking at the buildlog at your PPA the problem is that we need to backport graphicsmagick (>= 1.3.20~) to trusty. Or how did you think to solve that, shipping it over your PPA?

Beside all that what do you think about bringing it into Debian and syncing it to Ubuntu xenial?

graphicsmagick 1.3.20 has been already backported for trusty and I am waiting only for armhf build to finish (the qemu builders are horrible). php-gmagick for amd64 and i386 will be built shortly.

The package has been already uploaded to Debian. This is a strict rule I adhere to -> all the work is done with thinking about Debian first to make the difference, and not just playing on my own sandbox...

I am not sure this will make it into xenial given the timeframes (Debian NEW queue processing, etc.)...

Yeah excellent!

About xenial will try to take care of that and will subscribe you, do you have any Debian bug or alike for me to follow the progress at Debian?

https://ftp-master.debian.org/new.html (and no bug, wnpp was not opening for me today, so I decided to be lazy and not open ITP bug)

Okay so no lazy push info for me ;) For Ubuntu i opened a bug, so at best we switch over there:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1539133
Would be nice if you could ping over there or here once the package is in Debian.

It's sitting in the NEW queue right now and it will be processed by ftp-masters when they have a time.
