Provide required information needed to triage your issue

Your Environment

  • Platform [PC desktop, Mac, iOS, Office on the web]: Office on the web
  • Host [Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.]: Powerpoint
  • Office version number: Office 365
  • Operating System: Both mac and windows
  • Browser (if using Office on the web): Chrome

Expected behavior

The icon given in the manifest and the display name should be visible in the taskpane sidetab when more than two add-ins are opened.

Current behavior

after including shared runtime in our manifest our icon and display name both don't appear.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Create a sample add in for powerpoint containing requirement of shared runtime.
  2. Add valid values for properties IconUrl and displayname for the manifest.
  3. Observe that the display name and the display icon image is not showing as expected in the add in side tab

Context

We are trying to develop an add-in for Microsoft Powerpoint which uses shared runtime. It is a product for our customers for them to use our services without having to leave the office environment. We have the company's logo in the IconUrl and product name as the display name in the manifest. Due to this the brand value takes a hit and there's no proper way to display that this product is related to our company. it is affecting our release as we can not release without our brand information.
