Kefyrra reported that an item on sale disappears after viewing the Sell menu (without even leaving the shop) in Birdcaged (Item ID 27, Shop Thing ID 15), both in new and loaded games. Kefyrra could reproduce it, 100% of the time I think, but I can't. I spent a lot of time trying to reproduce it, playing all the way through the game and trying a lot of things.
The item is set to Stock: Infinite, Sell type: Don't change stock, and it requires a tag in order to appear. It's not an autoset tag, it's set after beating a boss.
Kefyrra sent me an .rpg file, this was shortly before the game was released publicly. I don't know whether it the .rpg version matters.
tmc: were you using Test Game?
Kefyrra: Yeah
tmc: if you use Test Game or load a save, then there's an extra complication as the engine merges stock data from the .rpg and the save or the previous state
tmc: did you enter the shop editor during or before you accessed the shop in-game?
Kefyrra: Closed the game and edited the shop
Kefyrra: Then I tried it again by reloading my save, then again but starting a new game
Kefyrra: Same thing
tmc: same thigng as in the bug happened again?
Kefyrra: Yeah, went to the sell menu and that item on sale was completely gone
tmc: wait, so it happened whether you loaded a save or started a game?
Kefyrra: Both
