As discussed during the OKCon, how can we suggest new datasets for the open data census ? I found there is a list here https://docs.google.com/a/okfn.org/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aon3JiuouxLUdEVHQ0c4RGlRWm9Gak54NGV0UlpfOGc#gid=0
but it is read-only.

I would suggest for instance Land Ownership data to be added to the census.

Added: Spreadsheet for suggesting new datasets

@piezanowski we've had to make that read-only since the site runs off that spreadsheet (so changes affect the live site ...).

Could I suggest that in the first instance you propose new datasets for the census on the mailing list (that way people can discuss the suggestion as well).

@autofunk I think there is an action here to decide on the process for this kind of thing going forward (and to copy over the current list of proposed items once that is decided). My feeling: spreadsheet has attractions in terms of structure but is poor for discussions. Ultimately best thing may using an issue tracker style for this but may want to have a different tracker to this one which is for platform - cf item #102 and discussion there.

Changing title of the issue to: "Method for proposing new key datasets" (from "new key datasets")

I'd be really happy to share the assessments and learning we've got from the Open Data Barometer which looked at 15 datasets - with some overlap with the Census - as part of the next planning round. Some were easier than others to look at in a global study...
