Adding a transition to dropdown responsive menu

Hello,
I'm trying to add a slide down/up (or fade in/out) transition to the responsive menu.
I want to change the display none/display block property for something else that'll allow me to add the transition.
But I can't find where the display property is added in the javascript files.

Help?
