I feel like it's still too early to work on any groundbreaking new features and I could see this requiring a lot of fine tuning. Also, I'm generally not too fond of trying to automate micro-management too hard. It is very easy to get wrong, given the vastly different objectives throughout the game (see also #125 (comment)).
However, I acknowledge that it's highly annoying to have kittens die because KS is assigning kittens to the "wrong" jobs or is assigning kittens too slowly. This is something that will need to be addressed.
In general, the kitten job assignment is a pain point. I feel like it lacks the ability to scale-in when we lower the "max" for the job, but this isn't consistent with current UX and expectations. I'm still not sure what the solution for that is.
