I'm not sure if this is already possible somehow using already existing integrations, but on my Hitachi Smart TV I discovered that I'm able to change brightness by using this adb shell command: settings put global picture_backlight 5 (sets to 5 percent)
I didn't find the setting easily, so I thought it might be useful to others (I want to automate brightness during the day), and if it's not in any AndroidTV integration would be a very nice addition.
