System of Systems Integrations (SoSI)

Kim specializes in System of Systems (SoS) Integration applied to ultra-large scale concepts like the Metaverse and Smart Cities. He is passionate about getting systems that were not developed to be integrated, to work together. Kim has also published an assortment of articles relevant to the metaverse: https://kim.nevelsteen.com/#publications
contact: @knev

IPSME

Kim developed an IPSME technique that allows for an interoperable architecture for the aggregation/integration of disparate data sources. This significantly reduces re-engineering costs for each integration and when upgrading systems. IPSME describes a software architecture that is dynamic so that resources can be added and removed from the system without downtime.

Pervasive game augmented with reality

Separate from location based games (LBG), bringing in physical world data into augmented worlds allow physical world backdrops in virtual or game environments. This has wider implications for the metaverse and digital twins, to facilitate grassroots decision-making for managing our resources. Ideally these can be modified in game or in design stages to have different fantasy or arty looks.

Blocker: heavily in draft, not sure where to go on the website? and what format to take.

I am OOO this week for my wedding but let's start tackling next week together.

Anything here that can be added to the backlog - add it - I have ran a few tutorials on the creation of tix and enciurage others to break this down into smaller chunks. Or wait for my return.

If you want to make some progress with the site overall, reach out to @antpb as they have been hooking us up. If we want to migrate away from WordPress and use Nextjs I can control a lot more of the code and changes myself.

Thank you again :)

Cool. The first blog I can post to the website once the team OK'ed - antpb gave me permission so I have access, and then send to the mailing list. Then we can see how that goes and take it from there.

At some point we will act on the main site as well - I had a media meeting with jimmy today, he and his team is doing such great work.

I am fairly familiar with wordpress so fine with staying with that. Is there a reason for Nextjs? If we want javascript, react etc, perhaps we can have a subdomain for that. I know some old-schoolers reject javascript altogether and I don't want to lose them.
