Usage

Interface:

Both the soundboard and voice changer use a similar interface for adding and removing hotkeys.

To add a hotkey:

1. Press the "+" button
2. When the hotkey item shows "Listening", press any keyboard key to set the hotkey

To remove a hotkey:

1. Select the hotkey by clicking on it in the list - it will be highlighted blue if selected.
2. Press the "-" button

To change a hotkey's label:

1. Click on the left text-box containing the label of a hotkey item
2. Edit the name

To rebind a hotkey:

1. Click on the right box containing the assigned key of the hotkey
2. When the box shows "Press any key", press any unassigned keyboard key of your choice to reassign

Press "Backspace" to unbind a key, and "Escape" to cancel rebinding

Audio Monitoring:

ReVox includes separate sliders for the soundboard and voice changer, allowing you to hear your soundboard and voice. Turn the slider all the way down to disable monitoring.

Soundboard:

Usage:

• Press the hotkey to play the audio clip saved to the hotkey

If no audio clip is saved to the hotkey yet, you can hold the hotkey down to start recording a clip, and release the hotkey to stop recording

• To overwrite an existing clip, hold "Alt"+"your hotkey here" to start recording, and release to stop
• To change settings for a hotkey, select the hotkey in the list first

Settings:

1. Mic - Toggle whether or not this hotkey records input audio (from your microphone/audio interface)
2. System Audio - Toggle whether or not this hotkey records system audio (from a web browser, game, voice chat etc.)
3. Overlay - Toggle whether or not spamming the hotkey cuts off previous instances of the audio clip. Disable to cut off audio clips

Modifier Key:

If you want to record over an existing clip, hold the modifier key and the hotkey you want to record over together. This will start a recording. Release the hotkey to stop recording.

Modifier Key:

Useful for when you hear something that you want to add to your soundboard, but couldn't react fast enough. This allows you to record sounds that occurred before you pressed record, up to 5 seconds.

Editing a Clip:

• Drag the left barrier to set the start position of the clip
• Drag the right barrier to set the end position of the clip
• Use the play and stop buttons to check your audio
• Use the load button to load a clip from your files
• Use the trash button to delete the current clip
• Move the volume slider to change the clip volume

Voice Changer:

Usage:

• Press the hotkey to enable the effects assigned to the key

Setting up a Hotkey:

1. After creating a hotkey, select the hotkey from the list to enable editing
2. Enable/Disable your effect(s) of choice

Recommended: To disable all effects, make sure to have a hotkey with no effects enabled

For both the Soundboard and Voice Changer, settings are changed dynamically and are automatically applied/saved

Other Settings:

Output Device:

This setting is useful for people who record/livestream. It makes it possible to split the system audio across two devices, where the device specified in this setting can also carry monitoring audio for the soundboard/voice changer. To set it up:

1. In your Windows taskbar, right click the speaker/sound icon, and click "Sounds"

2. Select the "Playback" tab

3. Set any device other than your headphones/audio interface/virtual audio cable as the default device

4. In ReVox, set the output device to your headphones/audio interface
5. In your recording software (OBS etc.), make sure the system audio device is set to your system default

If you use an external monitor, you can set that as your default output device and mute the monitor. It is also recommended that you turn off auto-sleep for your screens.

Usage with RTX Voice: set your system default output device (Windows Taskbar>Sound>Recording) to "NVIDIA Broadcast", and in the NVIDIA software, set the input device to your microphone/audio interface.

HUD Position:

This setting allows you to see what voice effects are currently enabled. You can click on any of the light grey boxes to set the HUD position, and you can click on the currently active position to disable the HUD entirely.

Only works with Windowed/Borderless Fullscreen apps. Does not work for Exclusive Fullscreen apps.

Start With Windows:

Toggle this to change whether the app starts with Windows (recommended).

Reset:

Also accessible from the taskbar when right-clicking the ReVox icon, it resets the audio. Use it to troubleshoot audio glitches.

Check for Updates:

Automatically scrapes GitHub to see if there's a newer release. If so, it notifies and links you to the latest release. ReVox can also check for updates on startup.
