  1. No time.
  2. Money, it cost me over $350 a year to run
  3. No reward, it is hard to stay motivated on a project that will be shutdown. Wizards of the coast should get their shit in gear and do this themselves. They seem to spend a lot of money shutting down services and projects that are really cool.
  4. Magic is a great game, I love it, however it is a small part of my life and other projects are consuming more of it. This project was meant to stay small.
  5. I apologize if I let anyone down or put anyone in a bad situation. The fact is: WoTC should be providing this service.

Happy that you are not getting shut down my by WoTC. I can understand the cost etc. Appreciate your work.

Personally still looking for a job or I would gladly take over the service and pay the $350.

@fritzcoder, you are a badass for getting this up in the first place and showing people (and WotC) what is possible.

I still owe you that beer(s). 🍻

I've been there and I totally understand. I had a point-of-sales app for dogecoin that I had to shut down.

I imagine since it's open source someone could potentially start it up again as a new service correct?

I @fritzcoder.
Just out of curiosity, where are you spending the 350$ a month?
Thanks for the work

@ghunti domain name, vm hosting, ssl certs and backups. That is per year not month.

@fritzcoder Totally missed the "year" part :-p
Can't you let go the backups and ssl? Why do you need them? No one is paying for the service, so they should understand some data loss (if that happens of course). Also, SSL if I understood correctly is just used for protecting the login page, because the rest of the service don't really need an SSL certificate no?
I believe the vm hosting is the one needed for the users you are serving.

Cheers
