Since Android 7.1 (or possibly later versions depending on device manufacturer), there are "shortcuts" that one can use by long-pressing an icon in the launcher). We could use these e.g. as direct links to the areas of the app (search, account, favorites).

A user suggested that we could show lent media here and allow to extend the lending period with one tap - but I think space is too limited (max 5 items, just one short line of text per item).

Hi! Sorry for the late reply, the e-mail was buried in my inbox :/

Of course you can work on this feature. Feel free to ask here if you have any problems. Some instructions about how to set up the project in Android Studio can be found here.

Hi, can I still work on this? I am a rookie though.

@yasincidem already asked to work on this, but as we received no response from him for more than one month - yes, please go ahead, @dastamoghno, and feel free to ask here if you run into problems.
