Hi :)

A customer reported on June 5th - and I was able to reproduce it on my Fairphone 2 with Lineage OS (Android 11) then and just now - that the Primo integration "no longer" functions, implying that it did before.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Add a new library (see below)
  2. Choose "search only" integration

Observed behavior:

Expected behavior:
Working search integration, obviously. :D

The behavior is consistent for these Primo libraries I tested:

  • UB Mannheim
  • UB Wien
  • TU Berlin
  • FU Berlin

I'm under the impression that Primo is a little touchy in general, but perhaps it did actually work some time ago as our customer implies.

Not sure if these cases are related, so this might be a separate issue, but I had the same behavior with non-primo libraries HdM Stuttgart and HS Heilbronn.

To eliminate my phone as the source of error I cross-checked other libraries (Stadtbibliothek Heilbronn, UB Heidelberg) which worked as expected. I have not cross-checked with account integration, for this is not supported for the library I have an account for.

Let me know, if I can provide any further details. :)

Best regards!

Hey :) As we don't have any paying customer who is using Primo, the Primo integration hasn't been touched in years and sure, if Primo changed enough, it might no longer work. Unless someone wants to work on that and send a pull request, the only course of action I'd have available would be removing the libraries from the list of supported libraries.

Hey, thanks for your quick reply! I absolutely see your point.
I might look at this someday, but I don't see myself finding the time for this realistically in the near future - as much as I appreciate this app. I'll leave the course of action to you, of course.
