Sometimes the item script is disconnected from the item controls

In some rare cases, changes to the script of an item no longer changes the controls of the item, i.e. there's a disconnect of some sort between the script and the GUI, and this can only be resolved by re-opening the experiment. It's hard to reproduce this bug.
