The release failed https://github.com/open-telemetry/opentelemetry-collector-releases/runs/5583746943?check_suite_focus=true

  ⨯ release failed after 1623.51s error=failed to build for linux_386: exit status 2: # github.com/observiq/go-syslog/v3/rfc5424
Error: /home/runner/go/pkg/mod/github.com/observiq/go-syslog/v3@v3.1.0/rfc5424/machine.go:115:7: constant 4294967295 overflows int

I am discussing with other approvers what to do

@djaglowski since this is an observIQ dependency, could you check this on your end? I can't open issues on the github.com/observiq/go-syslog repo

This makes the build pass locally for linux_386 and windows_386 observIQ/go-syslog#1 cc @djaglowski

Second alternative is to exclude 386 builds for contrib until the above issue is fixed open-telemetry/opentelemetry-collector-releases#83

This was fixed by not promoting 386 binaries and packages for contrib and is done now
