Linking a package from 15.1 takes 15.1:Update #7698

But the created package is from 15.1:Update - I assume because of an attribute, but there should be a feedback to the user or even an option to disable this behaviour.

Happened again, possibly even worse: I branched incidenceeditor from Leap:15.1 and I ended up with a Link pointing to KDE:Applications:18.12 / incidenceeditor
