Blank spaces before special characters

When I type in "@", I get a blank space before the symbol which screws around with inputting email addresses and handles.
The blank space after a word function was selected when I set up the app, but it needs to be turned of for symbols and specials.

@ThatguyNeil I cannot repoduce this bug, can you give us more details or a screencapture ?

I can reproduce it when tapping on a suggestion, but not when just entering the first word without tapping a suggestion.

This is a bit similar to the missing space after punctuation (#252), which is only missing if not tapping a suggestion.
