User story

As a fiscal host admin, when a contributor inquires about a contribution I need to be able to search for the contribution using the contributor’s email. I currently have to go to metabase to manually search for users.

Best solution for this problem

Scope 1: Search by contributor email fiscal host dashboard

Until now fiscal host admins worked with contributions either on the fiscal host public profile page or collective public profile pages. There, in the public domain, we could not expose contributor emails.

However, with workspace, we now have a separation between inside (where only fiscal host admins have access) and outside (where everyone has access). Therefore we can enable searching for contributors based on emails in the fiscal host workspace.

For this to make sense and be verifiable by the user we should also surface contributor emails among the contribution details.

Provide collective admins with similar functionality

This should not change anything on public profile pages. Contributor emails (and searching by them) should only be available to privileged users within their relevant workspaces.

Leo has developed this, just a few bugs that need ironing out. I suggested that we implement the same search/User Experience that we have in root admin. Where you can enter the email or username of a user and their user profile picture and name is shown. Would also like to know the other things that can be entered into this search to find contributions or expenses, can add to the documentation
