Tutorial Notebooks

Installation

In your console, go to the root of this repository and install dependencies with:

make install

How to use the notebooks

With Binder

Open your browser and visit http://mybinder.org:/repo/openfisca/tutorial

Locally

In your console, go to the notebooks directory and run:

make run

See the new page opened in your default browser and have fun. 😃

Then, to stop Jupyter Notebook server, use Control-C.

How to test the notebooks

In your console, go to the notebooks directory and run:

make test

If all goes according to plan, you should see a nice OK. No error detected in tested notebook(s).

Otherwise, you'll receive really handy feedback telling you where it doesn't work, and why:

ValueError: Unable to compute variable 'af' for period 2015: 'af' must be computed for a whole month. You can use the ADD option to sum 'af' over the requested period, or change the requested period to 'period.first_month'.
