Might be done with a snack bar

On top of the App add a provider to provide an helper funciton that will open the snack bar. In all off or robotoff call trigger the snack bar if an error occured

What about replacing the entire screen with a big icon and a text "Robotoff is not available at the moment. Please retry in a few minutes!" and a big button under it with "Retry".

In that way users cannot perform any action until the service is up again, reducing the amount of "stress" the robotoff server is under when giving Bad Gateway 502 errors
