For 'products to buy', the primary input is barcode focused.

If I know I want to buy "Milk", but don't have the container on hand; I'm less likely to use the feature.

If I could add a product by name, and I cannot find the product existing in openfoodfacts; I want ot be able to create a new product name.

When I actually go shopping, I should be able to select my draft product and barcode it; to associate the name to the barcode I just scanned; and create a proper product.

Where:

  • I have a name and an open food fact item exists for that barcode, the list item should be updated with the full details and marked off
  • I have a name and no item exists, a new product with that barcode and name should be created.
