better knowledge of which layer can be loaded or not #43
Comments
Hi @3nids I checked this, and the schema and table afu_abbaustellen_pub.abbaustelle seems to exist. It loads fine for me. Perhaps this has to do with the fact that you have fewer permissions on the DB than I have with my account? What behavior do you get in this particular case? You have to wait until it times out or do you get an error message quickly? |
No, the error is immediate. |
How could we do that? Do you have a suggestion? Do you have enough information in such a case to issue a better error message? If yes, I very much agree - the more information, the better. |
We could add to the message something like "You might have missing rights". The best would be if the service could specify permission groups, and we could tell the user: "hey this layer is in this group, are you sure you have access?" Or even better, use an authentification on the service and only return what it possible for the logged user. |
Sound like a good approach. We can always improve - both our service and then also the plugin - in future versions. I am sure that there will be other requests or smaller ideas for improvements in the future. |
Looking for "Richtplan", trying to load the layer "Abbaustellen", I get an error.
Here is the URI:
Apparently there is no schema
afu_abbaustellen_pub
in the DB.Is this an issue on the server or the plugin should not propose this layer as PG?
