Martin Wilson has published a new method for frequency and phase correction called RATS, which introduces a polynomial baseline into the fit between spectra, and uses variable projection to solve the linear parameters (phase and baseline weights), increasing stability of the fit. This is reported to work well for large frequency drifts and for edited spectra, and would be a good addition to suspect.
