Fix flaky tests

There are several flaky tests occurring when running the AD tests as part of the larger bundled tests for all plugins. The discrepancy between individual and bundle failures is a separate investigation, and can be revisited when there's future work done on integrating / running these tests in a jenkins env with more resources. For now, the existing tests should be improved so the failures in the FTRepo stop happening. The fix should be confirmed by running several runs in the github runners and see no AD failures.
