jbosstools retrieves the deployment path here: https://github.com/jbosstools/jbosstools-openshift/blob/cf378ed5c8ca6e98c8be23590fae488b744fb515/plugins/org.jboss.tools.openshift.core/src/org/jboss/tools/openshift/core/server/PodDeploymentPathProvider.java#L44. We are looking for a com.redhat.deployments-dir label. And it exists in the eap image: https://access.redhat.com/containers/?tab=tech-details#/registry.access.redhat.com/jboss-eap-7/eap70-openshift. But i didn't find in the wildfly image, that's why the default path (DEFAULT_DEPLOYMENT_DIR = "/opt/app-root/src") is used, which is wrong. Please, add this label with "/wildfly/standalone/deployments" value.
