We need a location to semi-permanently indicate preferences including:

Whether to use the built-in version of wpa_supplicant, or a custom-compiled one: use_native_wpasupplicant = yes/no
Preferred network interface to use (currently selected at random): iface = wlan0
Whether interfaces other than the one specified can be tried: try_alt_ifaces = yes/no
Default olsrd.conf file (currently hard-coded within in the code): default_olsrd_conf =
What plugins are present (ie, commotion-mesh-applet, nm-dispatcher, etc.)
