Currently the popup does not trigger that behavior and I don't expect it to do so.
When the user uses that point as starting or destination point the map will be centered on that location.

Why centering on popup selection should not be done:

  • it can be accidentally triggered while tapping to move the map around
  • since you are interested in the point selected while tapping and not really on the content itself (because you know you want to get there or from there) popup data is not really important
  • on bigger screens will trigger a bad user experience because if the user knows that start and end of the journey and will zoom the map just to select those, moving the map while doing this will, in my opinion, not be a thing that will be expected
