System information

Type Version/Name
Distribution Name Fedora
Distribution Version 39
Kernel Version 6.6.8 building for 6.8rc1
Architecture x86_64
OpenZFS Version Lastest master as of Jan 22, 2024

Describe the problem you're observing

When attempting to build against the new 6.8 RC 1 build I get the following build error (I know it's early but might as well report it )
checking whether fops->fallocate() exists... configure: error:
*** None of the expected "file_fallocate" interfaces were detected.
*** This may be because your kernel version is newer than what is
*** supported, or you are using a patched custom kernel with
*** incompatible modifications.
***
*** ZFS Version: zfs-2.2.99-311_gd9cb42da9
*** Compatible Kernels: 3.10 - 6.6

Describe how to reproduce the problem

Try to build latest zfs version against kernel 6.8rc1
