What box? What soc? What version of armbian firmware? What phenomenon and screenshots or logs?

I install Armbian_21.11.0_Aml_s905x3_buster_5.4.152_2021.10.11.1600.img.gz on ugoos x3 from USB flash. when this USB flash is connected, it boots up and works fine. when i unplug USB freezes on black screen without anything

This is no problem. You have unplugged the U disk of the armbian system, it must not work. You write to EMMC for use, or always use the USB flash drive.

Yes, you don't need a USB flash drive after installing it in EMMC. Unplug the U disk, plug in the power again, and let the system boot from EMMC to use.

ugoos x3 locks bootloader in version v0.3.7 and above, and prevents writing to EMMC. It can only be used on TF/USB. Yours is this new?

5.10.y can’t, you can write 5.4.y series.

Such a good box can only use TF card, so use it first, maybe someone can change this setting in the future.
