Came here to mention the same thing. I'm looking for a Kotlin static site generator and came across Orchid. Looks good overall, but the broken screenshots have me second guessing.

After poking around a bit, my best guess is that something with unDraw is broken, but I couldn't confirm.

There's a lot of stuff that's broken with Orchid right now, and I wouldn't necessarily recommend getting started with it at this time. There were too many things that changed all at once (Jcenter sundown, Java 9+, busyness in my personal life) and I was never able to keep this project running effectively, and now everything is several years out of date. It does still work, and you're free to try it out (I'm still using Orchid for the documentation of my copper-leaf libraries, like Ballast), but you're kind of on your own for it right now.

That said, I've actually been playing around with a complete rewrite of Orchid, built on top of the Compose Runtime, and initial experiments are looking very promising! I don't have anything public that I can show yet, and I don't have any timeline for when I might start sharing the first previews of it, but this is something I'm very interested in, and actively (though slowly) pursuing.

And I'll just be honest here: the only reason I haven't completely abandoned this project and archived this repo is because of my sponsors on OpenCollective. The financial contributions have shown me that the hundreds (or maybe even thousands) of hours I've spent on this already are valuable, and it gives me the encouragement to not completely abandon it (thus my work in rewriting it on Compose). Moving forward with a new version, I'd love to be able to pay for a new logo, for someone to develop a more modern theme, and other things that I just don't have the skills to do myself. Any amount of support would go a long way in helping me revive this project that I love so much.
