Web3Modal v3 is now available for early testing and review.

v3 offers a new streamlined UI with several UX improvements. There are also many performance enhancements resulting in a smaller bundle size and better devex.

Hi, like the updates you've made for v3. A question regarding migration from v2.

I keep track of registered wallets and use showQrModal option to trigger direct connection back to a previous wallet. After upgrading WC, the same option will trigger the QR modal, but it's skinned like v2.

• Is there support for opening the QR modal with v3 skin using WalletConnectConnector.connect({ showQrModal: true })?
• Are v2 components + skin getting bundled with v3 still or perhaps that's some remanence of my previous config?

I believe WalletConnectConnector bit is from wagmi? It doesn't use Web3Modal, instead it uses a more lightweight version called WalletConnect Modal

This one will remain as is for time being until we complete all tasks we set out for Web3Modal. Once that's done, WalletConnect modal will also get updated ui, but will mostly remain the same.

We've re-built v3 with this in mind, tl;dr we need to make an adapter similar to what we have for wagmi now, but using libraries of other chains i.e. solana web3. However there is no set deadline for this, we might try to partner up with projects on different chains and make this possible as a community effort as well.

Hi, I know this is late but you want the Web3Modal, not WalletConnectModal, since WalletConnect Modal will rely on the QR code and WalletConnect to establish a session rather than potentially using the browser extension available.
